Hi everyone, my name is Marissa Burr and I started this blog to give tips, tricks, and life hacks to help make navigating your life as a young adult in 2022 a little bit easier. I'm located in Western New York and am currently juggling the ins and outs of being a broke college student. I have an apartment, bills, and student loans always breathing down my neck, and I know what a struggle that is for a lot of people my age. This blog will hopefully save you from making the same mistakes I did, as well as give you ideas on how to improve your lifestyle. I want everyone to leave this page inspired, and filled with hope for a better tomorrow. ​

One of the day-to-day struggles I have is that I want my apartment to look like Martha Stewart's, but I have the budget of a preteen paper boy. I'm constantly filled with dread when I look at the prices of organizational tools, cleaning supplies, and anything advertised on HGTV. Luckily (or unluckily for my budget) I am a shopaholic, so I have found the best places to buy pretty much anything you could need in your apartment, at a low price. I can help you decorate your home in a way that makes it a sanctuary for your happiness, without having to break into your savings.

I am also a firm believer in the way that having a minimalist mindset can help bring you peace in your own home. I'm not advocating for getting rid of everything with any sentimental value, but rather purging your life of anything that gives you more anxiety than joy. I currently have four baskets of clean laundry on my floor, plus a closet and garment rack full as well. I'm working on getting rid of anything that I don't wear enough to make it worthwhile to have to wash, fold, and put away. It's the little changes to my lifestyle that are making me a more at-peace with myself. I hope to bring this to all my readers as well.
